R.I.P. Tré Xavier - Porn Actor

In my interview with Papi Chulo back in June, I hinted that I may be leaving the porn industry.
Well this post is to announce that it is official - I am leaving the porn industry.

In recent months, I have been doing so many projects outside of the industry that looking for an opportunity to get back in front of the camera has become of no relevance to me. I have often said in my blog posts of how easy it should be to bow out of this industry because "it's only porn", and now I am practicing what I preach.

Furthermore, between all the racism, false hopes, and disregard for performers' and audiences' welfare that I have faced and written numerous posts about over time, I had to ask myself as to whether or not being in this industry makes me happy. And the truth of the matter is thanks to the racism, false hopes, and disregards by agencies like FabScout and studios like Big City, Black Scorpion, Falcon, Jet Set, Lucas, Raging Stallion, and Tyson Cane, I'm not happy being a part of it at all. In fact, looking at the porn industry as a whole, I realized the undeniable fact that because of the companies I mentioned (and those I didn't whose actions wreak the same results), the American gay porn industry is eroding, and I am getting out before it erodes me with it.

In regards to all the posts that I've written about what's wrong with this industry, I wrote all those posts with the hopes of making this industry take a needed look at itself and make itself better in the process. This is something I do for myself, and I expect others around me to do the same. But seeing how so many porn news websites like Unzipped.net and The Sword (due to their current "leadership") insist on reporting fluff instead of the reality that we performers face that are often symbolic of what's happening in the American gay community made me ask myself this question:

Why am I fighting to better an industry where the people in it have repeatedly chosen to ignore my intellect, integrity, and creativity, thereby making that industry way more than a little unworthy of my or anyone else's prowess of such high caliber?

The fact is the American gay porn industry has become a revolving door of performers. There are no more porn legends. There's now just a bunch of guys with high-rates who will never become a Jeff Stryker or Peter Berlin, names I'm sure many of you even in your 20's heard of at some point. What happens now is that just as soon as they get a decent-sized fanbase, those models with enough skill to do other things decide to move on, as I am doing now (and Trent Atkins has already done) because producers/directors and agents have allowed their lecherous ways suck the fun out of this industry.

It's not just me who feels this way. Fans of the porn industry are now becoming former fans of the industry, and turning to amateur porn instead. Because we watch porn to play voyeurs, and these big name studios have forgotten that. Well the former fans haven't forgotten, as it is proven by this quote from my friend, Achmat, as it is a sentiment shared and told to me by many, some total strangers who didn't even know I did porn:

"I love amateur porn because it captures the essence of sex. People are as they are and not what the label wants them to be...Amateur porn captures the fantasy, desire, and passion that the bright lights, pay checks, and fake tans have eroded."

Now, my being in this industry hasn't been all bad. I made some great friends along the way. And it is the industry that gave birth to the "Tré Xavier" persona, which is why if this industry shows any signs of healing its self-inflicted hemorrhage, I will return. But for now, the time has come to move on and take the persona to a higher level. And with all that I've been doing lately, I'm just getting started.

I'm sure based on this post many of my loyal readers fear that this blog will be no more. Well I am assuring you here that while "Tré Xavier - Porn Actor" is no more, "Tré Xavier - Blogger" is still alive and well, which means THIS BLOG ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE. So porn companies and publications, you still need to be on your guard from me calling them out.

For I will still be watching you.

Why would I let my blog go now when I believe I have turned "Tré's X-Ray Vision" from being just another porn actor's blog, to being a blog from a porn actor with a social conscience, to a blog from a regular socially aware guy who just happens to be an exhibitionist. The reason this metamorphosis is important to me is because exhibitionism with the title "porn actor" attached to it can get one treated like a god, and way too many porn actors start believing that of themselves. I however always wanted it to be that no matter what your country of birth or residence, you can say that I'm your brother, and in no way should be or (more importantly) seeks to be treated like a god.

You have all taken me on this great journey, and helped in giving me the courage to move on to the next chapter. I hope you will move on with me, and with that strength added to mine, I will not disappoint.

So now, think of this video as me washing off yesterday, so I can be refreshed in taking on today and beyond.

  1. You focus like a laser beam and tell the hard truths like no one else can. You're SO right about most industry news outlets being little more than fluff or HIGHLY filtered faux news. You're a beacon of courage and honesty in an often benighted industry, and you're way ahead of the curve as the industry does indeed devolve. I look forward to your continuing commentary as a blogger as a much needed riposte to what passes for journalism these days. You're a winner in my book, Tre. All the best to you.

  2. Ah, Tre'- we met at the same time and place in regards to getting into the industry from opposite ends of the camera. While due to economic downturns in the industry due to the economy itself and reasons you mentioned, I only so far put out 1 film, with you in it! You have been one of the better experiences of engaging in the porn community, as I've often felt you were a voice of reason and sanity amongst an industry that has stopped knowing what to do with itself. I count myself lucky to have made a friend in you and I know full well that you will do well, as there is so much intellect, talent, and creativity in your corner. I thank you for having done my company's film as your last official appearance, and I consider myself lucky for it. Onward., my friend!

  3. Tre, you have no one 2 blame but yourself, It is you who has blacklisted yourself in the porn industry, read your blogs you have been so negative to so many production companies that no one will hire you.

Dude you are not Obama it's not ur job to change the industry, its ur job 2 get fucked!! U kill me how you are trying to play the victim here, you are not that great of a performer at that, it's your fucked up attitude.Dont you think that the word is out about how negative you are, no one wants 2 work with that. If you wanna change the porn industry than shut the fuck up and do what some have done, start your own company.

  4. Anonymous,

As usual another wimp who won't name themselves. If you want to challenge anything I say, give yourself a name so I can properly confront you, the same way I confronted all those studios. The name "Anonymous" lessens the validiity of your claims agianst me.

But for those weak-minded enough to beleive you, I'll say this:
For your information, I was on the verge on starting my own line, but I now have so many other great MORE WORTHWHILE things going on, the porn industry is like you ----of little relevance.

Furthermore, I am not playing victim. And you need to look at the big picture. The reason studios I DID NOT name wouldn't hire me is because they were guilty of the same things as the studios I called out, and they knew once I got wind of that fact that they would be called out as well, AS THEY SHOULD BE. And if that's the case, I'm glad they didn't hire me. Because no matter where I am in the totem pole, I want perfection of myself and demand the same above and below me. You are obviously one of those people in the workplace that stay quiet and allow a problem to go on until it gets out of hand. I speak out because I deserve better than that frustration. You stay quiet because you have the STERETYPICAL mindset of a porn actor (even if you're not one yourself). Meaning you don't have much else to live for except trying to grasp for WHATEVER approval you can get no matter what it cost your soul.

  5. Also Anonymous #2,

If I'm not that great a talent, what brings you here. I must have one hell of a talent to make you feel the need to hide your identity in order for you to say all the bullshit you spewed in your comment.

I've never hide. Why do you?

  6. What's your hang-up about anonymous comments. The majority of the internet is anonymous. How would your response have been different if anonymous would have signed his name as "John"?

  7. A friend of mine, told me 2 check u out as I am in the porn industry. Let's take Tyson, you say all these negative things about him, but you kept going back 2 work for him and even though you send him under the bus, he reaches out 2 you and u talk shit about him. I understand if someone has bad blood with one studio, but you have almost every major studio not wanting to hire u, and after reading some of the things you say about them I see why, your only choice now is to get out of the industry or do bareback videos unless u pissed them off. I did happen 2 see one video pit bull you were in, you bored me, there was no heat or passion nothing that would make me buy anything else that u appear in, so instead of trashing the industry work on ur skills cause there more to life than an dead open hole. I love being in the porn industry and have been in it for some years now, but its not my life and am not hired 2 be political am hire to perform and that why...I keep getting hired and can quit when I want, and not be forced out like you.

    Signed, John

  8. OK "John", ever so original. It's probably the only name you know because you're so lacking in skill to get a real job that you're most likely an escort as well. Hence the empty-headed comments I must correct you on.

In regards to Tyson Cane, if you really read ALL of what I had to say about him, then you would take note of how I once said that I tried convincing myself he was OK, then I finally wised up.

And for your information, I have had other offers, and NOT from bareback companies. I'm not leaving because I can't get work. I'm leaving because none of the (mentioned and not mentioned)studios have new ideas that don't play into some kind of stereotype when there are plenty idea to have that don't, and if I was to start my own video line, I would be the ONLY bright spot in this industry because I would be using those ideas. Believe it or not, I'm not a stereotypical pornstar with an overblown ego, so I don't like working in a way where if we're all in the same business, instead of being one of MANY SHINING stars in the sky, I turn out being the ONLY shining star, with the rest of the stars being DULL, as the laziness in making new ideas has made practically all of these studios.

And if the movie from Pitbull you're talking about is Love Of The Dick 4, the reason you saw no passion is because my scene partner Double R was a gay-for-pay bitch in denial. And as I've stated before, working with gay-for-pay bithces in denial makes you have to work harder to the point that the honestly gay/bi performer should be paid more than his usual rate for what he has to put up with.

And I know that I was not hired to be political, but THIS is MY blog, and with it I am going to show myself as human. And I'll be damned if I'm going to lower myself to let some studio dictate my displaying my humanity. If that's what keeps getting you hired, then you go right ahead and keep lessening what could you a worthwhile existence. While I wasn't forced out, I would have preferred to be forced out if in order to stick around, I had to follow your so-called credo.

  9. As for the Anonymous asking about my "hang-up" about anonymous comments:

Yes most of the internet is anonymous. But you need to think before you say something that stupid, and realize that the internet is also full of cowards. Cowards who use that anonymity to attempt getting over on people.

And would my response been any different, you ask. The answer is NO. BUT while being annoyed by the ignorance shown by his comment, at least I could have respected him for standing behind his convictions by not hiding his identity.

  10. How many times must things like you make it so obvious as to how far from boring I really am?

If I was so bad and so boring, then why do you keep coming back here, and giving these long winded commentary. It's because you would never have the balls to take the stands that I have. Instead, you've lessened your worth by playing bobble-head doll, and you envy me for it with every fiber of your so-called being.

Remember the phrase, "doth the lady protest too much"? Why don't you look in your mirror on that one, because you are that lady. You wish you were man enough to be me, in fact I'm sure many in the industry wish they were man enough to be me, and make their disappointments known. Instead, they've allowed themselves to have so little worth that they refuse to put up a fight for a better work environment - stereotypical mindset of a porn actor. And I am beyond it - always have been, always will be. So it is best that I got out when I did.

And I deleted your comment because I didn't even read it. I knew it was just some long-winded bullshit displaying your envy. So if you come back again, expect the same UNLESS you man up and stop all this cowardly "Anonymous" commenting.

Now, I've moved on to a more relevant topic. If you insist on staying on this, you'll just be show your IRrelevance.

    ReplyDelete

I HIGHLY respect those willing to stand behind their comments with a name. So if you use "Anonymous" on a viewpoint that challenges mine, IT WILL BE DELETED for your cowardice to not show yourself makes your viewpoint and you irrelevant.
